Eva Katz
Student Leader · Athlete · Community Builder Pomfret School, Class of 2026
I am committed to building community, leading with purpose, and creating spaces where every student belongs.

About Me
I am a junior at Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut, where I have built a record of leadership across student government, residential life, athletics, and national extracurricular organizations. Over three years as a boarding student, I have consistently taken initiative — not only filling leadership roles, but creating them.
Whether organizing the first Culture Fest in Pomfret's history, founding a national BBYO chapter for boarding school students, or captaining a varsity field hockey team to a 9–3 season, I approach every endeavor with the same commitment: to lead with integrity, foster belonging, and leave things better than I found them.

Beyond the Classroom
BBYO — Boarding School Chapter
In December 2023, I founded the first-ever BBYO chapter dedicated exclusively to boarding school students — an initiative that did not exist before I created it.
Since its founding, I have held every major leadership role within the chapter: Mazkirah (VP of Communication), Gizborit (Treasurer), and N'siah (Chapter President). Under my leadership, the chapter has grown in membership, expanded its programming, and established a presence at regional and international BBYO events.
I have attended the Chapter Leadership Training Conference (CLTC), International Leadership Training Conference (ILTC), International Convention, and August Executive Conference.
